The Set. Studio Policies & Terms of Use
By booking, entering, or using The Set., operated by Set Theory Marketing LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, & agreed to the following policies & terms. These policies apply to all guests, clients, photographers, creators, vendors, & anyone attending or participating in a booking, session, or event at The Set.
Payment & Responsibility
Full payment is required to confirm all bookings unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. By booking The Set., you agree to be financially responsible for any additional charges incurred during your booking, including but not limited to damages, excessive cleaning, overtime, unauthorized use, policy violations, or unpaid balances. Set Theory Marketing LLC reserves the right to charge the payment method used at booking or invoice for any applicable fees.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations made 24+ hours prior to the scheduled booking may be rescheduled one time at no additional charge. Any additional changes or reschedules may be treated as a cancellation & subject to applicable fees.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking time will incur a 50% cancellation fee based on the booking total. No-shows will be charged 100% of the booking total.
We understand emergencies & unforeseen circumstances happen. If you experience an emergency, please contact us directly. We will always do our best to accommodate when reasonably possible.
Booking Timing & Access
Your reserved booking time includes setup, teardown, cleanup, loading, unloading, & exit time. Please plan accordingly & exit the studio within your reserved timeframe. Overtime may result in additional charges.
Online bookings close 24 hours prior to each booking. Last-minute bookings may be available depending on studio availability. Please text or call us directly for urgent or short-notice requests.
Access instructions, entry information, & any additional details will be provided prior to your booking. Access information may not be shared with non-approved individuals.
Studio Use & Conduct
Guests are expected to treat the studio, furnishings, equipment, props, backdrops, walls, & shared spaces with care & respect. Furniture may not be dragged across floors. Any temporary setups, hanging materials, styling installations, or alterations must be done carefully & removed before the end of the booking. Smoking, illegal substances, open flames, glitter, confetti, smoke bombs, or any materials that may damage or excessively dirty the space are prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing.
Guests are expected to follow all posted studio guidelines, instructions, & operational rules displayed within the space. These may include furniture handling, cleanup procedures, equipment care, setup instructions, & other studio-specific policies intended to protect the space & create a positive experience for all guests.
Please be respectful of neighboring businesses, shared spaces, & surrounding areas.
Private Events
Private event rentals are request-based & subject to approval by The Set. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee a reservation. Event bookings are confirmed only after approval & completion of all required payment.
The individual making the reservation is considered the booking party & is responsible for the conduct of all guests, vendors, & attendees throughout the rental.
All setup, decorating, vendor access, event time, teardown, & cleanup must take place within the reserved booking timeframe. Additional time should be booked in advance when needed. Use of the studio beyond the reserved timeframe may result in additional charges.
Food & non-alcoholic beverages are permitted during approved private events. Alcohol is permitted at private events in accordance with applicable laws. The Set. does not provide, sell, serve, or furnish alcoholic beverages. Any alcohol brought onto the premises must be supplied by the booking party or their guests. The booking party assumes responsibility for the possession, service, & consumption of alcohol during their event, including ensuring alcohol is not provided to or consumed by anyone under the age of 21. If an outside vendor is hired to provide or serve alcohol, the booking party is solely responsible for ensuring that the vendor is properly licensed & complies with all applicable laws & requirements. The Set. reserves the right to prohibit or discontinue alcohol consumption in the event of unsafe, disruptive, or unlawful conduct.
Outside vendors, catering, decorations, furniture arrangements, installations, or other special event setups must be disclosed as part of the event request & may require prior approval. Nothing may be attached to walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, or other studio surfaces in a manner that could cause damage.
Event attendance may not exceed the studio's established maximum occupancy. The Set. reserves the right to decline or end any event that exceeds approved attendance, creates unsafe conditions, causes excessive disruption, or violates these policies.
Cleaning
The studio must be left in the same condition it was found. This includes disposing of trash, returning props & furniture to their original locations, removing personal items, & cleaning up any excessive mess created during the session. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the studio requires excessive cleaning, repairs, or resetting after your booking.
Damages, Theft & Liability
The booking party assumes full responsibility for all guests, vendors, equipment, & activity occurring during the reservation timeframe. Any damages, theft, missing items, or misuse of the studio, furniture, props, equipment, or property during the session are the responsibility of the booking party.
The Set. & Set Theory Marketing LLC are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, equipment, or belongings brought into the studio. Guests assume all risks associated with use of the space.
By booking The Set., you voluntarily release & hold harmless Set Theory Marketing LLC from liability for injuries, accidents, damages, losses, or claims arising from use of the studio space.
Security & Privacy
Security cameras are in use in exterior & back entrance, hallway, & office entry areas. No cameras are located within the main studio space or private areas.
A restroom is available for changing & outfit preparation. Please use designated private spaces appropriately. The studio is located along a public street, & while window coverings are provided, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed at all times. Guests are encouraged to use discretion during sessions.
Memberships, Packs & Member Access
Memberships, studio packs, discounted rates, & member access are intended only for approved members of The Set. List. Account access, booking privileges, discounts, & member information may not be shared, transferred, resold, or used by non-approved individuals.
Set Theory Marketing LLC reserves the right to suspend or revoke member access, memberships, discounts, or booking privileges at any time for misuse, policy violations, unauthorized sharing, inappropriate conduct, or failure to comply with studio policies.
Policy Updates
Set Theory Marketing LLC reserves the right to update, modify, or change these policies at any time without prior notice. Continued use of The Set. constitutes acceptance of the most current policies & terms.
Seasonal Studio Giveaway
The Set. periodically offers seasonal studio giveaways as a thank-you to our creative community. The following terms apply to each seasonal giveaway unless otherwise stated.
Eligibility: Open to individuals 18 years of age or older. Employees of Set Theory Marketing LLC & members of their immediate household are not eligible to win.
Giveaway Periods: Seasonal giveaways may be offered throughout the year during periods designated by The Set. Specific entry dates & the winner announcement date will be shared with each seasonal giveaway.
How to Enter: Individuals who complete an eligible studio rental at The Set. during the applicable giveaway period will receive one entry into that season's drawing. Limit one entry per person per seasonal giveaway, regardless of the number of studio rentals completed.
No Purchase Necessary: A purchase is not required to enter or win. To receive one complimentary entry without booking a studio rental, email [avery@settheorymarketing.com] during the applicable giveaway period with your full name, email address, & the subject line “Seasonal Studio Giveaway Entry.” Limit one entry per person per giveaway period regardless of method of entry. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning.
Prize: One winner will receive one complimentary two-hour studio rental at The Set. The prize applies to studio rental only & does not include add-ons, private event rentals, photography services, additional rental time, or other services unless otherwise stated. The prize has no cash value, is non-transferable, & may not be exchanged for cash or credit.
Winner Selection: One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the applicable giveaway period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Redemption: Complimentary studio rentals are subject to availability & must be redeemed within 90 days of the winner being notified. Standard Studio Policies & Terms of Use apply to all prize bookings.
Notification: The winner will be contacted directly using the contact information associated with their entry. If the selected winner does not respond within 7 days, The Set. reserves the right to select another winner.
General Terms: Canceled, refunded, or no-show studio rentals do not qualify as booking-based entries. The Set. reserves the right to disqualify entries obtained through fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms & may modify, suspend, or cancel a giveaway when reasonably necessary.
Seasonal giveaways are sponsored by Set Theory Marketing LLC d/b/a The Set. and are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, or any other social media platform on which they may be promoted.
